Lab Series

Call to Artists: Short-term Residencies

Deadline: January 15, 2021

As we weather the pause of live performance and public gatherings during this final season of Dancemakers, The Lab Series is a moment for artists to have the time and space to delve, invest, and give time for experimentation within their practice. Through our desire to safely offer use of Dancemakers’ space in these final months, this residency program offers short-term, exclusive access to our theatre space.

Details

4 artists/groups will be selected through an open call to receive one (1) week of exclusive access to our theatre space. Projects proposals can include but are not limited to research, creation, and works in development. At the end of each week, there will be a live-streamed interview with the artist/group in residence where viewers can learn more about the artists and what they are currently working on.

A selection committee including Artistic Producer Natasha Powell and two other artists will evaluate all applications.
